Abstract: »This article examines the historical problem of child sexual abuse, based on judicial and medical documents of the XIX and early XX century, recognizing three main lines: child abuse perceived as a social problem; the medical perspective about this theme; and laxity of legal actions and judicial measures to punish this crime.
